School District Real Estate Advisory

Let’s get started

Strategic Real Estate Insights for School Districts

School districts are often among the largest landowners in their communities. Managing that portfolio strategically requires expertise in valuation, market demand, zoning, and transactions.

DTSpade, as a commercial real estate specialist in school district real estate planning, bridges the gap between education policy and property strategy, helping school systems protect taxpayer investments, modernize facilities, and position their real estate assets to support both students and the broader community.

The map shown here highlights the region’s elementary schools—overlaid by a heatmap showing the projection of the density of school-aged children over five years.

At DTSpade, we use mapping to forecast, facilitate decision-making, and put challenges into context—helping school systems approach school facility planning and public school property strategy with clearer insight.

Meet Diana: Your School District Real Estate Expert

With more than a decade of experience in commercial real estate, Diana Campbell has built a practice centered on advising governmental organizations—particularly public school systems. She guides school districts through real estate acquisitions, the strategic sale or repurposing of surplus properties, and eminent domain avoidance.

Before entering commercial real estate in Atlanta, Ms. Campbell spent 16 years in the STEM education sector. Holding a master’s degree in mathematics, she served as a nonprofit executive advancing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics education for high school students, career-transitioning professionals, and doctoral candidates in mathematics.

At DTSpade, she combines that leadership background, deep relationship-building, and institutional collaboration with the firm’s rigorous market analysis and brokerage capabilities.

She is also the creator of Bricks & Leaders, a newsletter that champions school system leaders while illuminating how economic development and real estate decisions shape communities and educational opportunity.

Her work is deeply personal. Diana’s mother was a steadfast advocate for public education, serving as both a school board member and administrator in Bergen County, New Jersey. In recognition of her service, Janis E. Dismus Middle School was posthumously named in her honor.

That legacy continues to shape Diana’s mission. She considers it a privilege to bring her commercial real estate expertise to public service—helping school systems strategically position the facilities that support strong communities and a thriving democracy.
